Walleye Rally For Late Win Over Guzzlers

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Phil van Oosterom, the Walla Walla Walleye defeated the Galesburg Guzzlers, 5-2. van Oosterom was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 times for the Walleye. The Walleye' win now puts them at 41-46.
Walla Walla used the timely hitting of Luis Arroyo to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Walleye on top, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I thought we played a nice game," van Oosterom told the Walla Walla Today. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
