Revolution Pull Even With 5-1 Victory
|
York rode a good effort from starter David Flowers to beat the Walla Walla Walleye at Walleye Tank. The final score was 5-1. Jorge Martínez was credited with the save for York, his 1st of the season. The Revolution now own a record of 41-41.
York used the timely hitting of Sergio Vargas to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Revolution ahead, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was an important one.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Flowers.
