Trifone Slugs 1837 BBC to 8-6 Win
Houston and Thunder Bay duked it out at Great Northern Field and the 1837 BBC came out victorious.

Houston second baseman Joey Trifone played a vital role in his team's 8-6 triumph over Thunder Bay. He hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for Houston. Houston is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 7th in 18 games.

Trifone had a game-changing home run in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch fastball from Ralph DePalma, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the 1837 BBC a 8-6 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Trifone.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Trifone.
