Rainbow Mermaids Turn Back Thunder Bay, 3-1

Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids starter Noe Toepfer was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC, 3-1. Earning his 4th save of the year was Brewster Warble. The Rainbow Mermaids, now 13-2, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Making an impact for the home team was Felix Plugge. In the bottom of the sixth, the 28-year old catcher had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. That made the score 3-1, Rainbow Mermaids.
Plugge told the media after that game that the mood in the clubhouse is "extremely positive" after a win like that.
