Ollerton Helps South Beach Cruise to 10-3 Win
The South Beach Blaze knocked off the Galesburg Guzzlers, 10-3, at Galesburg Field. Corey Ollerton, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason South Beach won. The catcher went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Théo Picard, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 2 runs on 7 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 6. His record now stands at 1-0. With the win, South Beach improves its record to 6-3.

South Beach used the timely hitting of John Jankila to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Blaze on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Ollerton told the South Beach News.
