Generals Jolt Torch with Late Rally

Torch Field was the site for USSL Single A action featuring the Mancelona Torch and Washington Generals.
The Washington Generals knocked off the Mancelona Torch, 6-3, at Torch Field. Mark Boyle, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Washington won. The first baseman was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Washington now sits at 38-51, while Mancelona falls to 47-42.
Washington used the clutch hitting of Jake Pinto to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Generals the lead, 4-3. For the game, Pinto had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Pinto said after the game.
