Smokies Edge Past Dragoons, 4-3

The Tennessee Smokies eked out a 4-3 win versus the Louisiana Dragoons at Smokies Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Samuel Tuffley, who captured player of the game honors. Tennessee reliever Perry MacAldonich picked up the win, upping his record to 8-2. José López took the loss. Joe Gram picked up the save for Tennessee, his 14th of the year.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the bottom of the eighth inning. That's when third baseman Jorge Indiano, who is tied for 5th in the SA in RBI with 52, hit a single. The Smokies went on to win.
"We played hard and won," said Tuffley. "Sometimes, baseball really is that easy.'
Tennessee bumps their record to 52-36 with the win.
