Hotspur U-21 Drop Generals, 6-4
|
Phoenix third baseman Jesse McCoy played a vital role in his team's 6-4 triumph over Washington. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Phoenix. Sean Neely earned the win for Phoenix. He lasted 7 innings, allowing 4 earned runs on 7 hits, while striking out 5. With the win, he raised his record to 8-4. Phat Tra picked up the save, his 3rd.
Ronnie Wise hit a bases-clearing double off Pablo Sánchez in the bottom of the first, which put the Hotspur U-21 in front, 3-0. In addition to the double, Wise had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.
"That's a solid team effort right there," said Wise. "Everyone's feeling positive after that win."
