Generals Down Hotspur U-21, 4-2
|
Washington pitcher Bryan Williams did his part in helping his team beat the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Van Hileman was called on to finish, recording his 21st save. Washington now owns a record of 37-48.
Washington needed the clutch hitting of Jake Pinto to notch the win. The shortstop hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Generals on top, 4-2. For the game, Pinto had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Pinto.
