Storm Pull Off Thrilling Win in Extras
The Louisiana Dragoons and Syracuse Storm provided some drama at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium.

Louisiana got a terrific performance from pitcher Kenny James, but it wasn't enough to beat the Syracuse Storm. Syracuse won the Dragoons War Memorial Stadium contest, 5-4. James was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball. Syracuse reliever Freddy Estrada picked up the win, upping his record to 3-2. Wesley Mason absorbed the loss.

Syracuse needed the clutch hitting of Kent Maxwell to notch the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the tenth inning to put the Storm on top, 5-3. For the game, Maxwell had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Theodore Johnston.

Syracuse is now 45-31, 3 games up in the Silver A.
