The Expos had to overcome a fine performance from Chicago pitcher Yan van der Meijden to grab a 3-2 win at Waterfall Park. van der Meijden allowed no earned runs over 8 innings. The Expos now have a record of 27-38.

Jeffrey Braz was the walk-off hero for Niagara Falls. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Expos shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Braz said.
