Expos Come Back Late to Top Generals
|
The Niagara Falls Expos got a good effort from starter Mike Hess in defeating the Washington Generals at Washington Park. The final score was 3-2. The Expos' win now puts them at 25-36.
Niagara Falls used the clutch hitting of John Castro to capture the win. The second baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Expos the lead, 3-2. For the game, Castro had 2 singles and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
"I know we have our doubters," said Washington manager Desmond Woodford. "But I still have high hopes for this team."
