Generals Nip Tula, 5-4
|
Francisco Alhama was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Chicago Tula. The second baseman was 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Washington Generals. Van Hileman closed the game out for Washington, earning his 17th save. Washington now sits in 7th place in the Silver A at 29-31.
With Washington leading 3-2 in the top of the fifth, Alhama hit a changeup from Tom Lee for a run-scoring single. It was his 64th hit of the season and put the Generals ahead, 4-2.
"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Alhama.
