Dominant Performance by Minor in Syracuse Win
|
The Syracuse Storm picked up a win at Storm Park, knocking off the Alameda Airmen, 4-1. Starting pitcher Ralph Minor, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason why. The Storm are now 32-27, while the Airmen fall to 31-28.
Minor, the Syracuse right-hander, went 7.2 innings, allowing 1 earned run on 3 hits. He collected 11 strikeouts.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Minor, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
