Generals Stick Hawks with 7-4 Loss
|
The Washington Generals topped the Laredo Hawks, 7-4, in USSL Single A action at Hawks Field. The player of the game was Washington pitcher Pascal Durand. Washington reliever Pascal Durand was credited with the win, to go to 3-0. Miguel Núñez took the loss for Laredo. Van Hileman nailed down his 16th save.
Having an impact for Washington was Sherman Hoffman. In the top of the sixth inning, the 23-year old first baseman had a run-scoring hit-by-pitch to make the score 3-1, Generals.
"We'll savor this win," Hoffman told the Washington Today, "then get ready for the next game."
Washington currently is in 7th place in the Silver A at 28-29.
