Mancelona and Syracuse duked it out at Storm Park and the Torch came out victorious.

The Mancelona Torch got a strong performance from pitcher Lucas Gameiro, who stymied the Syracuse offense en route to a 5-2 win at Storm Park. Earning his 1st save for Mancelona was George Kipcak.

Mancelona used the bat of Walke Mehoff to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Torch ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Mehoff. "And not try to do too much."

Mancelona now has a 4-game win streak.
