The Mancelona Torch bested the Washington Generals by a score of 7-4, with left fielder Luigino Colombo getting the main credit. On the day, Colombo went 3-5 with 3 singles for the Torch. Mancelona, at 25-23, sits in 5th place in the Silver A.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the sixth inning. Facing Washington hurler Miguel Romero, Jacques Viceronte, who is tied for 8th in the SA in doubles with 14, hit a single. The Torch went on to win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Viceronte.
