It was a fun time at Alameda Field, where the Laredo Hawks and Alameda Airmen tangled.

The Alameda Airmen pounded the Laredo Hawks, 14-2, at Alameda Field. Alameda center fielder Tokaji Heida had a solid game. He was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6 for the Airmen. Bert Hollingsworth, the winner, improved to 3-3. He held the Hawks to 2 earned runs on 6 hits over 5.1 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 1.

Pablo Pagán aided the Alameda cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the shortstop went 1-4 with a walk.

"The boys came out and just played their butts off," said Alameda manager Harris Bailey.

Alameda, at 24-19, sits in second place in the Silver A.
