Mancelona got a first-rate effort from pitcher Marty McFly, who frustrated Niagara Falls hitters en route to a 3-0 Torch triumph at Waterfall Park. The winning pitcher was McFly, now 2-2. He tossed 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. With the win, Mancelona goes to 17-20, while the Expos fall to 15-22.

It could have been a different outcome for Mancelona, had it not been for Jacques Viceronte, the 22-year old center fielder . Viceronte contributed a run-scoring double in the top of the eighth inning to put Mancelona up, 2-0.

"For the most part, I made good pitches when I needed to," said McFly.
