Torch Need Extra Frames to Get Past Dragoons
|
The Torch had to overcome a good performance from Louisiana pitcher Roy Brown to claim a 6-3 win at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Brown went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Mancelona reliever Amadi Azagba was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Gregory Powers took the loss. Lucas Gameiro was credited with the save for Mancelona, his 4th of the season.
Late-game drama came in the top of the tenth inning. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the batter, Ryung Jae-Wook, hit a single. It helped Mancelona seize the win.
"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Jae-Wook.
Mancelona's record now stands at 14-18, placing them 8th in the Silver A.
