The Louisiana Dragoons defeated the Mancelona Torch, 5-2, in USSL Single A action at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium, with Louisiana pitcher Harry Golden named player of the game. Louisiana has now won 3 straight, while the Torch have lost 3 in a row.
Louisiana took a 2-1 lead on Hélio Capriati's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run came off Mancelona pitcher Dave Shepard in the bottom of the seventh.
"I thought we played a nice game," Golden told the Louisiana Chronicle. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
