Tennessee Smokies starter Júlio del Bosque turned in a top-notch performance against the Syracuse Storm at Smokies Stadium. The result was a win for the Smokies, 3-1. Perry MacAldonich finished to wrap up his 2nd save. Tennessee is now 17-14, while Syracuse is 19-12.
The Smokies got a big at-bat from designated hitter Tony Juderías. For the game, Juderías went 1-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Tennessee a 3-1 lead.
"I felt we were ready to go," said Tennessee manager Jerome Perry. "Our pregame was pretty good."
