Generals Down Expos, 4-2
|
Chris Hall made an impact in the 4-2 Washington win over Niagara Falls. Hall was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. Cédric Dupré, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 6 innings. Washington is now 16-13, Niagara Falls 11-18.
Washington used the timely hitting of Alex Avery to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Generals on top, 4-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Avery told the Washington Today. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
