Hawks Field was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Laredo Hawks and the Syracuse Storm.

The Laredo Hawks did just enough to sneak past the Syracuse Storm, 7-6, at Hawks Field. Laredo pitcher Miguel Núñez earned player of the game honors. Laredo has a 3-game win streak, while Syracuse has lost 3 in a row.

Carlos Árias was the walk-off hero for Laredo. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hawks second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Núñez said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
