Torch Get One-Run Win at Washington
The Mancelona Torch did just enough to sneak past the Washington Generals, 4-3, at Washington Park. Mancelona pitcher Dave Shepard earned player of the game honors. Mancelona, at 12-14, sits in 7th place in the Silver A.

Armond Buonaiuti aided the Mancelona cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter was 1 for 1.
