Laredo Hawks starter Travis Morgan turned in an exceptional performance against the Syracuse Storm at Hawks Field, resulting in a Laredo win, 5-1. Morgan picked up the win for Laredo, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. The Hawks saw their win-loss record go to 14-12. At the same time, the Storm fell to 18-8.

Robby Long put Laredo in front, 3-1, when he hit a 3-run home run off Donnie Rawling in the bottom of the third. It was his 4th home run of the season.
