Edwards Lifts Hawks to 8-4 Win
With center fielder Richard Edwards leading the charge, the Laredo Hawks defeated the Syracuse Storm, 8-4, at Hawks Field. Edwards, who is tied for 3rd in the SA in runs scored with 18, went 3-4 with a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Laredo is in 4th place in the Silver A with a record of 13-12.

Laredo took a 7-3 lead on Edwards's 1st triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which he hit off Ben Gillespie in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Laredo to the win.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Edwards.
