Alameda Topples Phoenix, 5-2

Alameda and Phoenix duked it out at Alameda Field and the Airmen came out victorious.
The Alameda Airmen defeated the Phoenix Hotspur U-21, 5-2, at Alameda Field. Alameda second baseman Sebastian Franke was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The winner was Wilbur Carson in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Michael Esposito took the loss.
With Alameda leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Franke hit a fastball from Michael Esposito for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Airmen ahead, 4-1.
"I'm proud to be a part of what we've got going on here," Franke told the Alameda Herald. "It's a great group and we're happy with the win."
The Airmen, at 12-13, sit in 6th place in the Silver A.
