Hotspur U-21 Prevail, 6-4, Over Louisiana
|
Henry Buckley had a good game, but he could not keep the Louisiana Dragoons from falling, 6-4, to the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 at Hotspur Kiddie Complex. The Louisiana first baseman went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once in the loss. Phoenix reliever Manny Guzmán got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Roy Brown was tagged with the loss. Sean Neely earned the save for Phoenix, his 3rd.
Phoenix took a 5-4 lead on Alfonso Ramírez's 28th hit of the season. The run-scoring single, which Ramírez hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Louisiana pitcher Gorgonio Ebalo visibly frustrated.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Ramírez said after the game.
Phoenix is now 8-10.
