Victory Pushes Generals Record to 7-6
|
The Washington Generals stopped the Niagara Falls Expos, 5-3, at Washington Park. The Generals got a big game from Nick Harper, who went 3-3 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. Van Hileman, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 4th save. The Expos fall to 5-8 and continue their lackluster start to the 2037 season.
With Washington leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Harper hit a fastball from Curt Pless for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Generals ahead, 3-0.
"It was a solid team effort," said Harper after the game.
