It was a good time at Hotspur Kiddie Complex, where fans came to watch the Mancelona Torch and Phoenix Hotspur U-21 get after it.

In a low-scoring tilt between the Phoenix Hotspur U-21 and the Mancelona Torch, Umebayashi Naofumi was the difference-maker. The Phoenix left-hander earned player of the game honors in the 3-2 win. Luis Bruno nailed down his 1st save.

In the bottom of the 7th, first baseman Alfonso Ramírez gave Phoenix the lead when he hit a 2-run single. The Hotspur U-21 had been trailing 2-1, but the two-out single off Mancelona pitcher Troy Donoghue changed that -- and Phoenix went on to win.

"I like the grit of this ballclub," Ramírez said.

The loss drops Mancelona to 3-5.
