Eugene beat Idaho Falls at The Riot Zone, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Juan Rodríguez, who earned player of the game honors. Eugene is now 9-24.

Albert McBride contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With a runner on 1st, he reached on an error by the SS. It was one at-bat that helped Eugene get the win.

Afterward, Vandals manager Travis Miller was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
