The Columbia River Rats got a stellar performance from pitcher Vincent Hubbard, who handcuffed the Eugene offense en route to a 6-1 win at Columbia Stadium. The River Rats, now 12-2, have stormed out of the gates.

Hubbard, the winner, is now 2-0. In 8.2 innings of work, he gave up no earned runs on 4 hits, while collecting 12 Ks. He essentially shut down the Eugene offense.

"Whenever we hold the other team to one run," said River Rats manager Kyle Besley, "I like our chances."
