It was a good time at Lynx Stadium, where fans came to watch the Port Royal Disaster and Calgary Lynx get after it.

Benefiting from Gustavo Cortéz's productive game, the Calgary Lynx downed the Port Royal Disaster, 6-2. Cortéz was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Lynx. Xiao-shuang Wong got credit for the win, improving to 4-3. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 7.2 innings.

Cortéz came through with some timely hitting for Calgary. With the score 0-0 in the bottom of the first and two down, Cortéz hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run home run. His 16th home run of the season made it 2-0, Calgary.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Calgary manager Thomas Kemp.
