Bakersfield pitcher Ingo Abresch did his part in helping his team beat the Alaskan Humpbacks, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Abresch, now 10-5, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 3, and allowing 1 earned run. Natalino Golaio got the save, the 2nd for him this season.
Helping the Bakersfield cause was Omer Yurtseven. In the bottom of the fourth, the 28-year old catcher had a run-scoring ground out to make the score 3-0, Nobles.
"I was a little disappointed," said Alaskan manager John Carney. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
Bakersfield's record now stands at 60-39, placing them third in the Premier AAA.
