A nice crowd turned out to see the Brinkley Belugas and Plymouth Rocks clash at Plymouth Quarry.

Brinkley Belugas starter Jordan Guérin turned in a top-notch performance against the Plymouth Rocks at Plymouth Quarry. The result was a win for the Belugas, 7-2. Guérin got the win, improving to 1-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 4 over 6 innings. Guérin allowed 2 earned runs.

Brinkley used the timely hitting of Craig Beach to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Belugas on top, 2-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.

"Good baseball players make you a smarter manager," said Brinkley manager Ricardo Medina.

With the win, Brinkley goes to 53-46, while the Rocks fall to 51-48.
