The Bloomington Longnecks topped the Santa Barbara Golden Cranes, 5-3, with second baseman Eugene Bowman playing a big role. Bowman went 4-5 with 3 doubles for the Longnecks in the win. Bloomington is now 42-55, Santa Barbara 39-58.

With Bloomington leading 4-3 in the top of the ninth, Bowman hit a fastball from Adam Garrison for a run-scoring double. It was his 4th double of the season and put the Longnecks ahead, 5-3.

Bowman told a Bloomington Times reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
