Alaskan Hot Streak Continues with 3-0 Win
|
The Humpbacks had to overcome a fine performance from Santa Barbara pitcher Dylan Telford to grab a 3-0 win at Sea World. Telford allowed 3 earned runs over 7 innings. The Humpbacks, at 60-31, have now won 7 straight.
The Humpbacks got a big at-bat from third baseman Vito Middendorf. For the game, Middendorf went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Alaskan a 3-0 lead.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Middendorf.
