Longnecks Reel Off Another Win
|
The Bloomington Longnecks topped the Port Royal Disaster, 6-3, with third baseman Fook Zhào playing a big role. Zhào was 3 for 3 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs for the Longnecks in the win. Gerald Keller, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. Bloomington has now won 6 straight, while the Disaster have lost 3 in a row.
Bloomington second baseman Daniel Carr contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With two down, he hit a fastball into right field for a 2-run single. It was his 68th hit of the season and put the Longnecks ahead, 4-2.
