Lee Delivers Clutch At-Bat for Bakersfield in Walk-Off Win
|
The Bakersfield Nobles picked up a win at Jerome Grounds, knocking off the Texas Bronze Sox, 6-2. On the mound for Bakersfield was right-hander Ingo Abresch, who played a pivotal role in the win. Bakersfield reliever Jorge Gil picked up the win, upping his record to 4-3. Kliment Spirk was saddled with the loss. Texas, at 38-45, has lost 5 straight.
Serious Lee was the walk-off hero for Bakersfield. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nobles center fielder hit a dramatic grand slam home run to send the teams home.
"As well as we've been playing, I think we can play even better," said Bakersfield manager Enrique Castro.
