Belugas Jolt Longnecks with Late Rally

The Bloomington Longnecks got a superb performance from pitcher Rust Cohle, but the Brinkley Belugas still won the game, 5-3. Cohle was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings of 3-hit ball. The Longnecks, now 29-52, have lost 4 in a row.
Augusto Ruíz's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh inning was a big one for Brinkley. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 2nd and Brinkley trailing 3-1, the first baseman hit a run-scoring single.
