Longnecks Score Late, Top Supernovas, 1-0
|
The Bloomington Longnecks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Rust Cohle, who muffled the Scranton offense en route to a tight 1-0 Longnecks win at Lookouts Ballpark. Bloomington is now 27-45.
Richello Mabait took Butch Cummings deep in the bottom of the ninth. His solo home run put the Longnecks on top, 1-0. In all, Mabait had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"I liked his command," said Bloomington manager Coy Knight. "Rust was throwing strikes."
