Longnecks Rally For Late Win Over Disaster
Bloomington catcher Nestor Tantoco made his presence felt in the 7-6 Longnecks triumph over the Port Royal Disaster. Tantoco was 2-4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bloomington reliever Dermot Eridge picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-2. Chenor Njie was collared with the loss. The last-place Longnecks raised their record to 25-40.

Bloomington used the timely hitting of Kensaku Hatayama to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Longnecks on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Baseball is about momentum," said Tantoco, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
