Plymouth and Brinkley duked it out at Belugas Ballpark and the Rocks came out victorious.
The Plymouth Rocks defeated the Brinkley Belugas, 3-1, in USPL Triple A action at Belugas Ballpark, with Plymouth pitcher Nebosja Draskovic named player of the game. Draskovic went 6.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 4, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. Cullen Taylor, credited with the save, is now 13 for 17 in save opportunities.
One important at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the sixth inning. Facing Brinkley hurler Ralph Greer, Dae-ik Park hit a single. The Rocks went on to win.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Park. "And not try to do too much."
The Rocks raised their record to 32-30.
