6 Straight Wins for Nobles
|
Alejandro Ramírez pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Plymouth Rocks, despite Ramírez's fine outing, dropped a 3-1 decision to the Bakersfield Nobles at Plymouth Quarry. Jorge Gil picked up the save for Bakersfield, his 5th of the year. The first-place Nobles have won 6 straight games.
Bakersfield used the clutch hitting of John Ennis to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the sixth inning to give the Nobles the lead, 2-1. For the game, Ennis had 1 single and 1 double in 4 at-bats.
