Brinkley center fielder Weston Doyle had a good game, even if his team did not. The Belugas dropped a 7-3 decision to Port Royal at Belugas Ballpark. Doyle slugged 2 home runs. José Blanco, the winner, improved to 6-2. He held Brinkley to 3 earned runs on 5 hits over 6 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. Port Royal now sits in 5th place in the Premier AAA at 28-26.

Ricky Payton was 1 for 4 with a walk for Port Royal. In the top of the fourth, with the teams deadlocked, 2-2, Payton delivered for the Disaster. His run-scoring walk put Port Royal on top, 3-2.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Payton told the Port Royal Herald.
