The Brinkley Belugas topped the Port Royal Disaster by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Melito Báez. Báez belted 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice for the Belugas. The win puts the Belugas at 31-22, while the Disaster drop to 27-26.

Báez contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Brinkley in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 1-0, Báez took a sinker from Phil Soto and stroked the home run to right-center. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Belugas to leap in front, 2-1.
