Supernovas Bang Out 6-1 Win Versus Port Royal
|
The Scranton Supernovas got a strong performance from pitcher Joaquín Pérez, who stymied the Port Royal offense en route to a 6-1 win at Nuclear Stadium. Scranton has a 3-game win streak, while Port Royal has lost 4 in a row.
Tied up with the Disaster in the bottom of the fourth inning, the Supernovas got a boost from second baseman Juan Tellado. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Tellado saw a full count fastball from Carlos Medina and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Scranton on top, 1-0.
"I had pretty good command out there," said Pérez.
