Bronze Sox Best Longnecks in Pitching Duel

Texas Bronze Sox starter Carl MacPherson was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Bloomington Longnecks, 2-0. MacPherson got the win, improving to 5-3. He allowed 7 hits and walked 3 over 7 innings. MacPherson allowed no earned runs. Kliment Spirk picked up the save for Texas, his 10th of the year.
The Bronze Sox got a big at-bat from right fielder Juan Jose Hernández. For the game, Hernández went 1-3 with a hit by pitch. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 49th hit of the season gave Texas a 1-0 lead.
