The Texas Bronze Sox beat the Plymouth Rocks, 4-1, at Bronze Sox Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of shortstop Riley Walker, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2 for 2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Earl Farley got credit for the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings. With the win, the Bronze Sox improved to 19-26.
Making an impact for the home team was Jayden Laming. In the bottom of the second, the 28-year old first baseman had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Bronze Sox.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Texas skipper Juan López.
